What is "It Takes a Village"?
“It Takes a Village” is a way to give back to our communities during the holiday season and beyond. Through “It Takes a Village”, Henry Bear’s Park works with local organizations to bring cheer to children in high risk environments including those experiencing homelessness who may not have access to quality playthings and educational materials. We believe all children should be able to enjoy fun playthings, but especially this magical time of year!
How does it work?
We’ve partnered with some awesome local non-profit organizations to provide gifts to children in need this holiday season! Each purchase of a care package is donated directly to one of our partner organizations and we match a percentage of the total donations!

Who do the care packages go to?
Some of the care package recipients are living in low-income households who are missing the support of full time public schooling, and some are children of families experiencing homelessness. All care packages stay within our local communities on the north shore, in the greater Boston area, or around Providence, Rhode Island. When we help the children of our communities, we make the entire community stronger!
