Our stores have earned a reputation (and awards!) for a unique selection of children’s products and an exceptionally welcoming store environment.  We hope to find team members who understand and support the role of “play” in childhood.

This position reports to the store manager and assists her in all the day-to-day operations from receiving & merchandising to sales & bookkeeping. Day-to-day tasks include:

  • Help customers pick the right products and complete sales transaction.
  • Be a role model in providing outstanding customer service.
  • Demonstrate superior product knowledge and provide product recommendations
  • Be a key holder who is responsible of opening and closing the store.
  • Receive and price product. Ensure that all receiving documentation is accurate.
  • Execute merchandising plan to set up aesthetically pleasing and playful displays
  • Mentor new employees and help develop a high performance team
  • Ensure proper cash handling and bookkeeping. 


  • Minimum of 2+ years of retail experience in a Specialty retail environment.
  • Knowledge/experience with board games, children’s books and toys is a plus.
  • Be able to work at least one weekend day.
  • Be able to work at least 20 hours a week (Not seasonal)
  • Physically active role – be able to lift up to 40 lbs. and carry product up and down the stairs.
  • Experience or interest in merchandising and creating beautiful product displays.
  • Any experience in early childhood development is very desirable.
