Our stores have earned a reputation (and awards!) for a unique selection of children’s products and an exceptionally welcoming store environment.  We hope to find team members who understand and support the role of “play” in childhood.

This position reports to the store manager and assists her in all the day-to-day store operations from restocking product to sales. You will go through an initial training program that covers areas of sales, customer service, product knowledge, and merchandising. Day-to-day tasks include:

  • Helping customers through useful product recommendations and exceptional customer service.
  • Carrying out transactions on the sales register and gift wrapping items quickly and nicely.
  • Restocking and organizing merchandise from the stock room to the sales floor.
  • Assisting with daily operations such as merchandising and creating in-store signage.
  • Performing daily housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and organizing.


  • Reliable and punctual. Your team depends on you!
  • Knowledge/experience with board games, children’s books and toys is a big plus.
  • Be able to work at least one weekend day.
  • Be able to work 10-20 hours a week. Part-time role to cover 2-3 shifts a week of 4-6 hours each.
  • Physically active role – be able to lift up to 40 lbs. and carry product up and down the stairs.
  • College degree (or working towards one) is preferred. Interest in early childhood development is very desirable.
